Luckily there was parking in the back with shade for my dogs to stay in the car while I did a to-go order. This place was BUSY, with seating inside and outside. It's like a denny's but nicer and loud and hectic. To order to-go you straight to the counter on the right where they have all the gigantic cakes which really would be good for sharing and not for a single person. The menu needs an update and is confusing and hard to read with so many extra words. I saw chopped liver on the menu but saw photos of a liver sandwich which the egg salad on it so I assumed that's what I was getting... if the menu had chopped liver and the chopped liver and egg salad option next to it would be easier to understand your options. The worker who seemed tired and irritated said the sandwich just comes with the meat which was definitely confusing. I had to ask what I could get with it and she listed the usual lettuce, cheese, tomato etc, and when I asked for whats recommended she didn't have much to offer so I got it with lettuce and tomato and it was good but for $21 it was just toooo $$$$ for sandwich and fries. I love liver and glad they had the unique option, it was made nicely but it feels like you're paying a tourism tax. This place seems like an experience, it's unique, large portions but for a traveler just looking for food I would go somewhere cheaper next time. If I want to sit down and take my time with friends then I might go here. Probably a good place for birthdays. Their cinnamon role looked HUGE.

Come very hungry. Every plate is large. The pastrami sandwich is so good. The biggest complaint is that the sandwich falls apart. Service is prompt and swift. They move people very quickly. Definitely a New York style deli, very casual.

First time eating at Sherman's and my wife and I really enjoyed our meals. Next time we're in Palm Springs we're definitely stopping by Sherman's.

The customer service from this place alone would have scored them 5 stars. The staff was overly accommodating and HAPPY to help! Make sure to pay attention to all the menus because you may miss something good! There was a small menu with salads that I was bummed I missed. My chicken salad was really delicious along with the other sandwiches we ordered. I would 10/10 recommend.

My friend and I came here for breakfast for my birthday. What a sweet spot this was! It was almost packed on the outside patio by the time we left. It was at the foothills of the mountains and we had heaters outside, keeping a swarm. I had a chicken salad sandwich. It was huge and delicious. I also had the pistachio cake. It was so large. I had to take it in a to go box. I also had a slice of French toast, which satiated my desire for a breakfast item. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot and it seemed like there was plenty of seating, even though it looked nice and full inside and out. The staff was so nice and we got served quickly.

Background On Visit: On our last day at Palm Springs, we wanted to try this sandwich place before make the drive back to LA. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restrooms Available: Yes, indeedy! Ambiance/Decor: Neat decor with modern furnishings. Plenty of seats inside and in their outdoor patio. I can see this place have the potential to be quite packed. Service: Service was okay and food came out at a decent time. Food Of Choice: 1) Pastrami and corned beef is very good! They pile the meats high. You'll probably have to eat the sandwich by layers unless you have a big mouth to bite down on the whole sandwich. Ingredients are very fresh. 2) The triple decker was very good also. It consisted of sliced turkey breast, crisp bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on toast. It also came with a small scoop of their potato salad that was outrageously delicious. Dessert Of Choice: 1) Chocolate Mousse Cake: So delicious. So sad they don't have a location near me. I would so get it as a treat once in a while. Sherman's Deli For Thought: Please consider opening up another location in Los Angeles! I kidding! That way it'll keep me grounded and be a good boy. Would definitely make a pit stop at Sherman's when i'm in Palm Springs.

Food: Sherman's Philly - brisket, bell pepper's, onions and provolone; Homemade Chicken Soup with Matzo Ball; New York Style Pastrami Service: great, timely and friendly service Design: a SoCal Deli vibe in Palm Springs Overall: if you want great deli food and bakery/desserts in Palm Springs, then there's no other place to go than Sherman's; the food is great, the waitstaff was friendly and helpful; what's not to like except if you get stuck in line waiting for a table, but it's well worth the wait

Sherman's Deli is on everyone's must-try list so here we are. I was able to sample a lot of different dishes since I came with my family. I ordered the Beef'n Latkes because I wanted to try their homemade potato latkes and sample their pastrami. The pastrami was incredible since it was tender and not too salty. I preferred eating it deconstructed because the latkes tasted better on their own. I also preferred it with ketchup rather than the applesauce and sour cream that it came with since it was crispy and reminded me of a hash brown. The grilled pastrami reuben was also incredible and arguably better than my dish since it came with Swiss cheese and a creamy sauce that beautifully melded the flavors. I would skip on the patty melt though because the patty was very dry and I think it came with American cheese which didn't melt that nicely since it was a small slice. As for dessert, the coconut cream pie is a solid choice for coconut lovers and it's on the sweet side so it'll cure your sweet tooth. I also really enjoyed the Napoleon slice which came with two thick layers of cream sandwiched between flaky puff pastry. We came at an off-time of 4 p.m. so they offered us early dinner specials and we were seated immediately indoors. I tried some of the brisket that my mom ordered and it was a hefty portion. Every dish you order here comes as a huge portion so you can most likely get two meals out of one. The staff who helped us were all very kind and they can accommodate large groups.
